She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Mills and Esther Mills. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Sawyer; her sister Mary Tom Vance; her daughters, Suzanne Sawyer of New York and Beth Smith (David) of Birmingham; her grandchildren, Sawyer Smith, Caroline Barrow (Blake) and Frances Smith; her great grandchild Jane Smith; and her cousins, Brooke Maier (Darin), Windham Vance (Sabina), Ashley Turner (Brett), Angela Sawyer and Mikaela Ladd.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials may be sent to French Camp Academy or to the Special Needs Ministry at Morrison Heights Baptist Church.
