He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Matthews Godfrey and Leroy Godfrey; and his son Robert "Bob" Lynn Godfrey. He is survived by: his wife Katie Godfrey; his sons, Don Godfrey (Lynne) and Mike Godfrey (Karen); and his grandchildren, Jana Hunt (Josh), Molly Granger (Jake), Anna Godfrey, Emily Holaday (Davis), Matthew Godfrey, Bracey Godfrey and Josey Kate Dewberry (Vance). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
