He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy Hopson Sholar and Barbara G. Fowler Sholar of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; his son Matthew Brock Sholar; and his grandparents, Alice, Joe Fowler, Maggie and Henry Sholar.
He is survived by: his children, Erin Elizabeth (Jimmy) of Chicago, Illinois and Andrew Todd; his wife Lynda Sholar; his son Drew Sholar (Natalie) of Memphis, Tennessee; his sister Karen Sholar Rogers (Mike) of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; and his sisters-in-law, Valarie Hampton (Brad) of Ft. Walton Beach and Vanessa Abler (Todd) of Blufton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
