It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Jessie Strauss of Clinton, Mississippi, who passed away on July 23, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pierre Felix Strauss and Viola Babineaux; and his sisters, Emeldia Shepard, Alma Semien and Audrey Prejean.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Wilkins Strauss; his sons, Michael (Dinah Strauss) and Wendell (Kimberly Strauss); his sisters, Rita Pikes of Baton Rouge, Theresa Carlin and Betty; and his grandchildren, Dr. Justin (Jalisa Dyer), Hillary Strauss of Clinton, Gerald (Lisanne Strauss), Jacques (Kourtney Strauss) and Megan Strauss of Houston. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
