He was predeceased by: his parents, George Huffman and Ruby E. Taylor; and his daughter Kimberly Ann Kennedy. He is survived by: his son John Kirkland Taylor; his grandchildren, Devin Taylor, Ryan Kennedy and Taylor Kennedy; and his brothers, George Taylor, Jimmy Taylor and William Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
