It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John F. Baker of Clinton, Mississippi, born in Jena, Louisiana, who passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Moses Baker and Bertha Baker (Hunt); his wife Claudia Baker (Pearson); and his siblings, William Morgan Baker, Sr., Nena Barnwell (Baker), Olivia Rogers (Baker) and Jane Baker.
He is survived by: his children, Nena Elizabeth Baker of Jackson, Mississippi and Daniel Morgan Baker, Sr. (Kathy) of Jackson; his grandchildren, Daniel Morgan Baker, Jr., Katherine Elizabeth Baker, Olivia Anne Baker and Eleanor Jane Baker; and his friends, William, Amy and Carson Kittrell. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Methodist Church, 100 Mt. Salus Road, Clinton, MS 39056.
