Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joe Clayton of Clinton, Mississippi, born in Williamston, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 83, on November 17, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Darryl Vincent Clayton, Sr. and Mary Spruill Clayton; and his brothers, Darryl Vincent Clayton, Jr. and William Gray Clayton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Yancey Clayton; his children, Kathryn Porter (Brett) of Hamilton, Ontario, Beth Luthye (Curt) of Baltimore, Maryland and Yancey (Ingrid) of Los Angeles, California.; his grandchildren, Ashton, Clayton Porter, Graysen Luthye and Henry Clayton; and his brother Robert Clayton.
Joe would probably have been a little embarrassed by the idea of gifts in his honor, but in lieu of flowers, he would have been pleased with donations in his memory to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Jackson (http://www.uujackson.org).
