He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Meeks and Bertha Lane; his former wife Lora Ann Egger Lane; his children, Ronald Dean Lane (Christy), Daryl Lane, Lynn Howard Frye (Brenda) and Marvin Lane (Karla); and his stepdaughter Laura Polk (Tommy).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Lane; his grandchildren, Chelsea Dean Torrence, Caleb Evans, Karlie Evans, Nicholas Lane (Kelley), Marlee Lane Flood (Mike) and Josh Polk; his great grandchildren, Ian Torrence, Colten Moore, Jack Raymond Lane and Emerson Lane; and his siblings, Claudine Mitchell (Howard) of George, Lane and Pauline Mitchell (Arnold). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
