We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2021, at the age of 88, Dorothy Boyd Carpenter (Clinton, Mississippi), born in Scooba, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Boyd and Walterine Boyd; her husband Ray W. Carpenter; her daughter Terri; her son-in-law Doug Jones; and her siblings, John M. Boyd (Jay) and Elsie English.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie and Penny Carpenter of Clinton; her granddaughter Hannah Jones Belshee (Jeff) of Chicago; her stepgreat-granddaughter Violet; and her brother Lonnie Boyd (Carolyn) of Clinton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to severe safety concerns related to COVID-19, a small private ceremony will be held for the immediate family on Saturday, January 16 and no other services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Morrison Heights Baptist Church at 3000 Hampstead Boulevard, Clinton, Mississippi 39056.
