He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kovarik and Barbara Jo Kovarik; and his grandparents, Bob, Lucielle Owens, Charles and Josephine Kovarik.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Greer Kovarik; his children, John Avery Kovarik (Lisa), Emily Mason (Matthew) and Daniel Nix (Tasha); his grandchildren, Tyler Nix, Mackenzie Sauls, Nathan Nix, Austin Nix, Barrett Mason, Trevor Mason, Hunter Nix, Jane Kovarik and Nolan Kovarik; and his siblings, Ben Kovarik (Tracy) and Lou Ann Shelton (Reed).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Savior Catholic Church (714 Lindale St, Clinton, MS 39056).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
