She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Phillips and Johnny Phillips; and her brother Fred Phillips of Greenwood. She is survived by: her husband Jim Whitfield; her children, Shea Whitfield (Susan) and Sandi Graves (Lance); and her grandchildren, Elijah Whitfield, Thomas Whitfield, Blake Graves and Brayden Graves. She is also survived by numerous nephews, a niece, and a multitude of extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Baptist Children's Village, honoring Carol's lifelong commitment to caring for others.
