He was predeceased by: his wife Sylvia Laquita Blackledge; and his parents, John Allen Blackledge and Dorothy Jane Stone Blackledge. He is survived by: his sons, Jay (Janice) and Jeff (Marilyn) of Clinton; his granddaughters, Jessica Blackledge of Clinton, Jayna Green (Dalton) of Clinton and Beth Denson (Scott) of Frisco, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Chase, Maci, Weston and Josie.
