With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marjorie Gladden (Cleveland, Mississippi), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 11, 2025 at the age of 70. In the sacred silence of farewell, Marjorie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Marjorie's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Riley and Margaret Riley; and her husband Joseph Gladden. She is survived by: her daughter Jenny Brackin (Joe) of Cleveland, MS; her grandson Connor Joseph Brackin of Cleveland, MS; and her sisters, Martha Utz Fly of Boyle, MS and Nancy Junkin (Albert) of Merigold, MS. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ray Funeral Home (206 Bishop Rd, Cleveland, MS 38732). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at the North Cleveland Cemetery (1098 Old Hwy 61, Cleveland, MS 38732).
