He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joe Tom Reed and Maggie Jackson Reed; his wife Ruby Earline Mitchell; his children, Lori Lynn Reed Cobb of Baton Rouge, LA and Joe Wayne Reed Jr. (Cristy) of Boyle, MS; his grandchildren, Hank Cobb (Julia) of Baton Rouge, LA, Mitchell Cobb (Gracen) of Baton Rouge, LA, Joey Reed (Anna) of Cleveland, MS and Brett Anderson (Evan) of Oxford, MS.; his great grandchildren, Linus "Camp" Campbell, Olivia, Henry, Jack, Lucy Cobb and Ann Collins Reed; his sister Anita Reed Griffith (Nicky) of Cleveland, MS.; and his nephews, David Griffith of Cleveland, MS and Will Reed Griffith of Oxford, MS..
