He was predeceased by: his parents, Zack Ruff Mitchell and Zadie Tucker Mitchell; and his son James Tucker Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Christine T. Mitchell; his children, Harold H. Mitchell, Jr. (E'Lou) of Greenville, MS, Todd Mitchell (Mary) of Cleveland, MS, Mollie M. Sims of Madison, MS and William R. Mitchell (Regenia) of Laurel, MS; and his daughter-in-law Julie B. Mitchell of Madison, MS. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Methodist Church, St. Luke Methodist Church, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
