He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Brown Hood and Odelle Little Hood; and his brother Kenneth Brown Hood. He is survived by: his children, Will Hood (Kate) of Cleveland, MS and Gena Hood Martens (Steve) of Canton, MS; his grandchild Laney Hood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his siblings, Howard Hood (Linda), Wilton Hood, Cary Hood (Adrienne) and Mary Lou Dilworth (Lyle); and his granddaughters, Farrar Kathryn Hood, Suzannah Logan Hood and Emma Lane Martens.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ray Funeral Home (206 Bishop Rd, Cleveland, MS 38732). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Shelby Cemetery.
