He is survived by: his wife Barbara Turner Gober; his children, Bernard Gober of Clarksdale, MS, Wanda Gober Bailey (John) of Dallas, TX and LaTonya Gober Moore (Samuel) of Glenn Heights, TX; his siblings, Robert Lewis of Madison, WI, Walter Gober of Coahoma, MS, Vernail Gober of St. Paul, MN, Edith Morgan of Memphis, TN, Mary Smith of Memphis, TN and Loretta Gober of Chicago, IL; and his grandchildren, Marvin Davis, Ezra Fudge, Cherelle Gober and Andriana Law. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
