We are sad to announce that on August 17, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Varner Rencher Sr. of Clarksdale, Mississippi, born in Scooba, Mississippi. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Marie Rencher McGirt, Rodell Rencher and Felix Rencher. He is survived by: his wife Vernice Smith Rencher; his children, Varner L. Rencher Jr. (Tracy), Ollie V. Rencher (Ellie) and Petra Rencher McPhearson (Christopher); his granddaughters, Victoria Rencher and Amanda McPhearson; and his sister Ollie Belle Rencher Dowsing. He is also survived by in-laws; and friends.

A public memorial service will be offered after coronavirus restrictions are lifted at Haven United Methodist Church in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Haven United Methodist Church, 404 Yazoo Avenue, Clarksdale, MS 38614 or to the Varner L. Rencher Sr. Memorial Scholarship Fund at Rust College, 150 Rust Avenue, Holly Springs, MS 38635.
