It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Horton Evans (Clarksdale, Mississippi), who passed away on March 3, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband David A; and her parents, O. A. Horton and Pauline Miller Horton. She is survived by: her children, David A. Evans, III (Cynthia) of Oxford, MS, Dixie Bonham (David) of Houston, TX and Polly Bennett (Ronald) of Clarksdale, MS; her sister JoAnn Johnson of Clarksdale, MS; and her grandchildren, Madeline Bonham, Claire Bonham, Marley Lunceford, Frazier Gore, David Evans, IV and Annelise Evans. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
