She was predeceased by: her parents, George Rees and Betty Rees; her son Michael Tews; and her brother Robert K. Rees. She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Valentine of Clarksdale, MS, Michele Fondren (Wade) of Clarksdale, MS and Karla Foster (Mark) of Clarksdale, MS; her grandchildren, Jess Brasher (Elsa), Taylor Valentine, Michael Fondren (Blaise) and Hunter Fondren (Caroline); and her godchildren, Lesley Smith, Shelley Sheppard and Totten Foster. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to LeBonheur Children's Hospital or Clarksdale Cares Animal Shelter.
