He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Steele and Marie Steele; his siblings, Pat Steele and Steve Steele; and his nephew Scott Hampton Steele.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Richardson Steele; his siblings, Gay Steele Darnell of Ocean Springs and Scott Steele (Janet) of Greenville; his niece Dana Darnell Rubenstein (Ryan) of Ocean Springs; and his nephew Duff Darnell (Alllison) of Ocean Springs.
