He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Whitt and Lula Long Whitt; his great grandchild Ansley Scribner; and his sister Dot Allen. He is survived by: his wife Avis Lee Milam Whitt; his children, Wayne Whitt of Batesville, MS, Terry Whitt (Angel) of Pontotoc, MS and Vickie Doss (Mark) of Rena Lara, MS; his sisters, Mary Hall of Tunica, MS, Lois Oconner, Ellen McCartney, Shelby Whitt, Sybil Colmus, Doris Taylor and Faye Rocha; his grandchildren, Joey Theriot, Michael Whitt, Patrick Whitt, Newman Fowler (Dalton), Aron Scribner, Ray Scribner, Matt Russell, Asteric Whitt and Braden Whitt; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn Howard Whitt, Micah Hiram Whitt and Quinn Reese Whitt.
