With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eldon Eugene Schmidt of Clarksdale, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Eldon Eugene departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Eldon Eugene. Though Eldon Eugene may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Clarksdale Mennonite Church of God in Christ (1900 Reinhart Rd, Clarksdale, MS 38614). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at the Clarksdale Mennonite Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Oakwood Manor or Clarksdale Mennonite School.
