It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorthie Nell Nelson (Clarksdale, Mississippi), who passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Dorthie Nell was predeceased by: parents, Hubert Cain and Clarise Shields Cain; husband Robert A. Nelson, Jr.; son Edward Allen Nelson; grandson Christian Gage Nelson; and sisters, Etoy Holeman and Earlene Ray.
Dorthie Nell is survived by: children, Robert "Allen" Nelson (Rebecca) of Hernando, MS and Cindy Robinson (Clint) of Bartlett, TN; brother Richard Cain (Mona) of Flora, MS; grandchildren, Dain Robinson, Malorie Tragarz (Rob) and Sean Hart; and great grandchildren, Braysen Nelson, Emerlynn Nelson, Robbie Tragarz and Levi Tragarz.
