It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthur Lee Marion (Clarksdale, Mississippi), who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearline Marion, and Theodis Marion, Sr.; his sons, Arthur Marion, Jr. and Daryl Marion; and his brothers, James, Willie Marion and Joe Stevenson.
He is survived by: his wife Inez Hampton-Marion; his siblings, Rosie Williams, Jannie Cobbs (Calvin), Shirley Johnson, Elois Spencer (James), Robert Marion, Theodis, Jr. Marion (Linda) and Terrance Marion; his grandchildren, Kimberly Marion, Tiarra Clark, Shakiya Clark, Rodney Marion, Zekayria Marion, Karim Marion, Ashton Hankins and Ma'Lyric Sykes; and his close friend Debra Marion. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home (314 E 2nd St, Clarksdale, MS 38614). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church (2301-2537 N State St, Clarksdale, MS 38614).
