He was predeceased by: his father Lavon Cochran. He is survived by: his mother Gail Chaney (Gerald); his brother Chris Cochran (Valerie Shortridge); his stepsiblings, Wayne Chaney (Robin), Valerie Clark (George) and Amy Ornstein (Steve); and his uncle Phillip Gandy (Peggy).
