He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Smallwood and Leona Smallwood; and his siblings, Howard, Hilton, Raymond Smallwood, Vivian Robinson and Shelby Rhea.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Donaldson Smallwood; his children, Lee Smallwood (Cindy) of Savannah, TN, Ruby Rodgers Smallwood of Teasdale, MS, Tracy Smallwood of Charleston, MS, Samuel Smallwood Jr. (Lynn) of Scobey, MS, Tammy Myers of Enid, MS and Harvey Smallwood (Danielle) of Tillatoba, MS; and his sisters, Patsy Brooks of Waskom, TX and Charlene Hailey of Batesville, AR.. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren twenty four great grandchildren.
