She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard and Elizabeth Ann McDaniel Jr; and her son George Frederick "Geof" Beckendorf. She is survived by: her friend Chris Phinney of Memphis, TN; her daughters, Gretchen Newsom (Morgan) of Charleston, MS and Bella Phinney (Stephen Salmon) of Memphis, TN; and her brother Michael McDaniel (Julie) of Memphis, TN.. She is also survived by three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
