He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold V. Sumners and Addie Rhew Sumners; and his brother Harold V. Sumners Jr. Always. He is survived by: his wife Marianne Sau Wan Sumners; his daughter Kathleen May Li Sumners; his sister Patricia S. Drake (James "Duck" Drake); his sister-in-law Sharon Sumners; his nieces, Heather Purdy and Melanie G. Dozier; his nephew Harold Sumners III; and his great-nephews, Jackson and Finn Purdy.
