She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Allison and Leddie Newton Allison; her spouse LaGaston Newsome; and her grandson William Barron. She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Fullilove (John) of Duncan, Mississippi, Denise Barron (Barry) of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and Donna Box (Tom) of Madison, Mississippi.; her grandchildren, Grace Fullilove Moore (Alan) of Madison, Mississippi, Thomas Box (Sarah) of Jackson, Tennessee, Blair Fullilove Ladner (Dean) of Cleveland, Mississippi, Betsy Barron Mashburn (David) of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and Gaston Box (Mary) of Madison; and her great grandchildren, Anne Wylie, Caroline Moore, Manning, Alex, Peter Box, Newman, Liza Ladner, Clayton Potter, Will Mashburn, Anne Gaston Box and Aiden Barron. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
