He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Estel Denly and Annie Mae Denley; his wife Betty Denley; his siblings, Joe Lewis, Robert Denley, Paul Denley and Earlene Aven; and his stepson Jerry Pearson.
He is survived by: his sisters, Aline Denley of Oakland, MS, Fay Aven of Charleston, MS and Juianita Shaw (James) of Stillman Valley, IL; and his stepchildren, Marilyn Holland, Margie Holland, Bobby Pearson, Patrick Pearson and Donna Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
