He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Edward Dalton, Sr. and Frances Massingall Dalton; his siblings, Luther "Duke" Dalton, Inez Duncan, Janie Schmidt, William "Bill" Dalton, Beatrice Dalton Massingall and Sally Bell Dalton Malone; and his daughter-in-law Cherrie Ryder.
He is survived by: his wife Judith A. Dalton; his children, Leslie Austin, Todd Ryder, Prussia Badon (Jude), Johnny Ryder and Marcy Bunting; his grandchildren, Eric Ryder (Kaitlyn Marie), Andrew Ryder, Dalton Woodward (Karen), Caleb Bunting (Beth), Gabrielle Myers (Dalton), Connor Ryder, Hannah Ryder and David Ryder; his great grandchildren, Ethan Ryder, Evan Ryder, Emma Ryder, Ella Ryder, Eli Ryder and Thomas Woodward; his sisters, Jettie Clements and Mildred Wright-Fox; and his sister-in-law Jane Dalton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
