He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Lawrence'Bud'Jarrell and Bertha Roxanna Prince Jarrell; his wife Mary Rebecca Wise Jarrell; and his siblings, Lemuel, James, Bennie, Fannie Pittman, Pearlie Amacker, Trannie Wiseman, Flossie Rymer, Sara Anna Black, Shirley Wise and Gladys King.
He is survived by: his children, William Lamont Jarrell (Dorothy) of Myrick, Mary Yvonne Wolverton (Bill) of Picayune and Karen Carleen Crowson (Noel) of Carriere, Mississippi; his grandsons, Jonathan Kyle Gasper (Jamie) of Picayune and Matthew Allen Gasper (Olivia) of Petal; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Lily Bazor, Justin and Emily Wolverton; his son Steve Deshotel (Kay) of Picayune; and also John Wolverton (Deirdre) of Picayune. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations in his memory be made to The Baptist Children's Village, P. O. Box 27, Clinton, MS 39060-0027, a charity to which he faithfully gave for 77 years.
