She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Smith and Mary Elllen Buterbaugh Smith; her husband Marcus Edward Dalton, Jr.; her sister Nancy Jean Hall; and her daughter-in-law Cherrie Ryder.

She is survived by: her children, Todd Ryder, Leslie Austin, Johnny Ryder, Marcy Bunting and Prussia Badon (Jude); her grandchildren, Eric Ryder (Kaitlyn Marie), Andrew Ryder, Dalton Woodward (Karen), Caleb Bunting (Beth), Gabrielle Myers (Dalton), Connor Ryder, Hannah Ryder and David Ryder; her great grandchildren, Ethan Ryder, Evan Ryder, Emma Ryder, Ella Ryder, Eli Ryder, Thomas Woodward and Heidi Woodward; and her siblings, Jo Ellen Larrison, Jane Bell Holloway, Janelle Ferguson, Tom Smith and Tim Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, http://www.stjude.org, in memory of Judy.
