Jean Sheasby Sterken Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2023, at the age of 87, Jean Sheasby Sterken of Carriere, Mississippi, born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Collier Sheasby and Mildred Germaine Norman; her husband Thomas "Tommy" F. Sterken; and her brothers, James Collier Sheasby, Jr. and Donald James Sheasby.

She is survived by: her children, Terrie Layburn, Sherrie Sterken (Janet Schlaufman), Kerrie Loyde (Robert) and Thomas Sterken, Jr. (Shelley); her grandchildren, Ashley Jurado (Javier), Nicholas Layburn, Brett, Matthew Sterken, Olivia and Emma Loyde; and her great grandchildren, Julian, Victoria and Angelene Jurado.
