He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Drennan and Annie Bell Drennan; his son David Dewayne Pierce; and his siblings, Burton Drennan and Gloria Burge.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Drennan; his sons, Danny Dewayne Drennan, Billy James Pierce, Jr. and James Richard Pierce; and his siblings, Jerry Drennan, Sharon Martin and Freda Easterling. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
