He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl H. Boutwell and Jean Kirkland Boutwell; and his brother Donnie Boutwell. He is survived by: his wife Zandra Frierson Boutwell; his children, Aaron Boutwell (Karen) and Kimberly Boutwell; his grandchildren, Brady Boutwell, Makayla Boutwell and Karleigh Nunez; and his sister Lawanna Boutwell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the family to ease the burden of medical expenses.
