He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Columbus Hammack and Pansy Bates Hammack; and his brother Marion Walter Hammack. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Richey Hammack; his children, Dr. Stephen Hammack (Beth) of Madison and Jill Hammack McLeod (Todd) of Jackson; his grandchildren, Rachel, Caroline, Matthew Hammack and Sparrow McLeod; and his sister Linda Reedy (Bill) of Canton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
