He was predeceased by: his father Paul Summerlin; and his siblings, Sam and Paula. He is survived by: his daughters, Rachel Summerlin and Hannah Summerlin; his mother Walterine Boutwell Summerlin; his son Brent Sutherland; his brothers, Paul Summerlin Jr. (Linda) and George Summerlin (Marian); and his granddaughter Lucy Maples. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
