He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Byars and Belle Hendrix Byars Burke; his wife Sandra Byars; and his siblings, Dell Burke, Charlie Byars and Tommy Burke.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Carwyle (Jeremy) of Pontotoc, MS and Tammy Anderson (Jason) of Decatur, AL; his sisters, Nancy Burke Anderson of Deltona, FL, Betty Burke Cain and Dianne Burke Depelsmaeker of Sulphur Springs, TX; and his grandchildren, Justin Anderson of Picayune, MS, Jordan Carwyle Dill and William "Willie" Carwyle Dill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
