He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Burns, Sr. and Natha Gordon-Burns. He is survived by: his daughters, Ethel Edmond, Rita Bray, Glenda Burns, Betty Burns, Allean Wiggins and Rachel McIntosh; and his brother Frank Burns.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Double Springs Missionary Baptist Church (574 Double Springs Rd, Calhoun City, MS 38916). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Double Springs Cemetery.
