It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Davis Edwards of Calhoun City, Mississippi, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oris Edwards and Eltha Davis Edwards; his siblings, Robert Edwards and Dorothy Jean Edwards; and his nephew Phillip Magness.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Edwards of Calhoun City; his children, Mike Edwards (Laura) of Calhoun City, Mark Edwards (Penny) of Calhoun City and Janice Dye (Randy) of Madison, MS; his siblings, Melvin Edwards (Brenda) of Pollock, LA and Jo Magness of Batesville; and his grandchildren, Lauren Munsen, Mallory Tedford, Mitchell Edwards, Jordan Harris, Ava Blake Dye and Ansley Dye. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pryor Funeral Home (109 S Monroe St, Calhoun City, MS 38916). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
