He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Leo Basinger and Beulah Nixon Basinger; his former wife Mary Emma Blair Basinger; his wife Georgia Catherine Sanders Basinger; and his siblings, Elizabeth Basinger, Elise Smith, Edith Blanchard, Peggy Cash, Arthur Basinger, Jr., Thomas Basinger and Billy Basinger.
He is survived by: his daughter Anna Couch (Bobby); his grandchildren, Kendall Couch of Caledonia, Clint Couch (Haley) of Laurel and Matt Couch of Biloxi; his sister Ida Mae Rose of Center Moriches, NY; and his sister-in-law Sara Basinger of Warner Robins, GA.. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, 24 great nieces and nephews, and 21 great-great nieces and nephews.
