He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrle Peterson Turan and Henry Turan; his wife Darla Kay Turan; and his siblings, Wesley Turan and Rhea Groleau.
He is survived by: his children, Troy Turan of Caledonia, MS, Natalie Ellis of Caledonia, MS and Dana Evans (Jim) of Roswell, GA; his grandchildren, Billy Parker (Anita), Tatum Turan, Camden Turan, Skylar Ellis and Forrest Evans; his great grandchild Saylor Clair Lane; and his siblings, Annette Jacques (Joe), Lois Milkewicz (Ric) and Michael Turan (Sue). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
He was awarded the Edward Dalstrom Distinguished Service Award and Melvin Jones Fellow Award for dedication to humanitarian services from the Lions Club International Foundation.
