He was predeceased by: his father Dale Darnell; his grandparents, Hewitt, Carolyn Lockhart, Fred and Mae Dee Darnell; his brother Sam Darnell; and his son-in-law Reed Andrews.
He is survived by: his mother Betty Lockhart Darnell; his wife Betty Asherbranner Darnell; his daughters, Dana Fleming (Scott) and Kellie Weaver (Tony); his grandchildren, Brett Beatty (Rachel), Carson Montgomery (Garrett), Chase Weaver, Mollie Kate Andrews, Will Andrews and Jackson Fleming; his brother Rick Darnell (Karen); his sister-in-law Billye Asherbranner; his nephews, William Darnell, Lawrence Darnell (Amber) and Fred Darnell; and his niece Leila Dietzius (Barrett).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lowndes Funeral Home (1131 Lehmberg Rd, Columbus, MS 39702). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
