We are sad to announce that on May 28, 2020, at the age of 90, Peggy Therrell Simmons (Byram, Mississippi), born in Florence, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Leon Therrell and Ruth Pierce Therrell; and her siblings, Pauline Lusk, E. Smith, Virginia Thomason, Tommie Morris and Brad.

She is survived by: her husband Sam; her children, Sam Simmons, Jr. (Trish) of Ridgeland, MS, Ben Simmons (Cindy) of Dallas, TX, Mary Ruth Simmons Wolf (Jay) of Montgomery, AL, Susie Simmons Jehn (Mark) of Menasha, WI, Ken Simmons (Bess) of Neely, MS and Ed Simmons (Julia) of Ridgeland, MS.; her grandchildren, Jason Wolf (Katherine), Tim Simmons (Jessie), Sarah Wolf Sizemore (Jeremiah), Johnny Simmons, Natalie Jehn, Benji Simmons (Anna), Mary Austin Wolf Hall (Andrew), Shannon Jehn, William Simmons, Alex Wolf, Hillary Simmons, Will Simmons (Carissa), Zack Simmons, Seth Simmons and Suci Simmons; her sister Betty Clarke; and her close friend Sam. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Due to pandemic safety concerns, the funeral service will be limited to immediate family only.
