He was predeceased by: his stepfather Frank Barton; and his sister Elizabeth Honea. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Evans Magers; his stepchildren, Steven Meadows (Angela) of Daphne, AL and Christine Harvey (Jim) of Bolton, MS; his grandsons, Alec Ponder, Ty Harvey, Daniel Meadows and David Meadows; and his siblings, Terry Hinton of Warner Robbins, GA and Marty Myers.
