It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Culpepper Alaniz of Byram, Mississippi, born in Collins, Mississippi, who passed away on July 15, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Culpepper and Maude Holloway Culpepper; her children, George Thurman and Chris Thurman; her grandson Joe Thurman; and her brothers, E. C. Culpepper, William R. "Randolph" Culpepper and Douglas Culpepper.
She is survived by: her children, Elisa Acey (Stan) of Byram and Darryl Thurman (Sophia) of Byram. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
