He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Mitchel and Annie Byrd Mitchell; his wife Mary Lou Mitchell; his children, Billy Joe Mitchell (Tara) of Kerrville, TX, Dr. Tim Mitchell of Charlotte, NC, Ben Mitchell (Lynn) of Wilmington, NC and Tia McCraw (Clearmon) of Terry; his grandchildren, Mac Mitchell, Kent Lewis, Cooper Dean Mitchell, Stella Mitchell and Elizabeth McCraw; and his great grandchild Rebecca Lewis.
Due to the current circumstances regarding COVID-19, the funeral home will have an occupancy of ten people in the building at a time.
