She was predeceased by: her brother George Morton, Jr. (Louise Lacey Morton). She is survived by: her husband James P. "Jim" McClain, Sr.; her children, Elizabeth Freeman Thomas and Jimmy McClain, Jr. (Amanda); her grandsons, Adam "AJ" Thomas, Jackson McClain (Jamie), Jamerson McClain and Paxton McClain; her siblings, Karen Allen (Harold) and Jerry Morton (Anita); her sister-in-law Patti Morton; and her nieces and nephews, Amy Smith (Joey), Jeremy Morton, Cory Morton, George Morton, III (Gina) and Briton Dean (Ronnie).
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immanuel Baptist Church (7423 Craft Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at the Byhalia Cemetery (8399 MS-178, Byhalia, MS 38611).
